Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your data when you use the PropVenture platform.

1. Who We Are

PropVenture ("we", "our", "us") is a PropTech company that operates a fractional real estate investment platform at www.propventureapp.com and via our mobile applications. We are the data controller for personal information processed through our platform.

If you have any questions about how we handle your data, please contact our Data Protection Officer at privacy@propventureapp.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information about you in the following ways:

Information you provide directly:

  • Identity verification (KYC): Government-issued ID, selfie/photo, and proof of address to comply with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations.
  • Financial information: Bank account details, payment card information (processed securely through third-party payment providers — we do not store full card numbers), and transaction history.
  • Property information (Sellers): Property documents, legal titles, financial records, and media uploads related to listed properties.
  • Communications: Messages you send to our support team or through the platform.

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, time spent, and interactions with the Platform.
  • Device data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account on the Platform.
  • Verify your identity and comply with KYC/AML obligations.
  • Process transactions, deposits, withdrawals, and investment activities.
  • Communicate with you about your account, transactions, and platform updates.
  • Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.
  • Personalise your experience and surface relevant investment opportunities.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, money laundering, and other illegal activities.
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal obligations.
  • Improve and develop the Platform through analytics and research.
  • Send you marketing communications where you have given consent (you may opt out at any time).

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal grounds:

  • Contract performance: To provide you with the services you have signed up for.
  • Legal obligation: To comply with KYC, AML, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Legitimate interests: To improve our services, prevent fraud, and ensure platform security.
  • Consent: For marketing communications and optional cookies, where applicable.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. PropVenture does not retain or store your information with any third party. Where your data is passed to an external service to complete a task (such as processing a payment), that data is used only for the duration of that operation and is not retained by the third party afterward.

The only exception is identity verification (KYC). To comply with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, your identity documents and verification records are retained by our KYC provider as required by applicable law.

The external services we interact with on your behalf include:

  • Identity verification (KYC) providers: Your identity documents are shared and retained by our KYC partner solely to meet AML/KYC legal obligations. This is the only third party that retains your data.
  • Payment processors: Payment details are passed to process a transaction. No payment data is stored by the processor beyond the life of the transaction.
  • Media delivery services: Media files (property images, videos) are served through delivery infrastructure. Your personal information is not shared with these services.
  • Regulatory and law enforcement authorities: Where required by applicable law or valid court order, we may be compelled to disclose certain data.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services to you. After account closure, we retain data for a minimum of 5 years to comply with financial regulations and legal obligations.

Transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years. After the applicable retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymised.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest.
  • Secure token-based authentication with automatic refresh and expiry.
  • Role-based access controls limiting staff access to data.
  • Regular security assessments and penetration testing.

While we take every reasonable precaution, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your own account credentials.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and understand how you use our Platform. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences.

For a full breakdown of the cookies we use and how to manage them, please see our Cookie Policy (included within our Terms and Conditions).

10. Children's Privacy

The PropVenture Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
